The Story

My journey in the restaurant industry began humbly, with the rhythmic clatter of bussing tables and the intoxicating aroma of a bustling kitchen. It was sheer curiosity that led me to the chef's prep station, and that moment was nothing short of a revelation. It was there that I discovered a profound love for food—a fiery passion that transformed a casual interest into a creative obsession. My first real dive into the culinary world was at a vibrant hotel and event center, where I was fortunate to be mentored by extraordinary chefs. They ignited my culinary imagination, teaching me the art of plating, the precision of knife work, and the nuanced dance of flavor profiles. This foundational experience was my gateway into a whirlwind of kitchens around the Lake of the Ozarks. Each kitchen was a stage, each chef a maestro, and I was thrilled to learn from some of the most talented, perhaps even legendary, culinary artists in the region.
Over the years, my journey has been as dynamic as the flavors I strive to perfect. I've had the exhilarating challenge of opening my own restaurant, the Daylight Donut Cafe in Eldon, MO, and played a pivotal role in launching several other beloved establishments around the Lake. My dedication to the craft has even earned me
a feature in Wagyu World Magazine, spotlighting my recipes and celebrating my culinary creations.
